Hoppy Birthday!

It's definitely that busy time of year! I just haven't had the time to do much lately with all the holiday prep. Hopefully after the holidays things will settle down soon and I'll have more time to post things and finish things.

Todays card is from this week's Just Christmas and Birthday Cards blog. I used this card for my goddaughter's birthday- I like how it turned out - it's very girly and sparkly. I used a stamp from my stash and the sentiment is from SU. Paper, flowers, etc. just pulled out of my stash - I'm hard pressed to tell you what is from where.

Be sure to check out the blog - lots of great things to find there!

Hope you have a great holiday!

Mojo Monday Invitation

I needed to create an invitation for a birthday, so I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I used SU cardstock and pp and ink. The star and sentiment are from CTMH. I used my CM circle cutter to cut my circles, and white organdy ribbon for the bow. Hope you enjoy it!

JC&BC Sketch

Good Morning & Happy Thursday! I'm a bit late in posting this, but it's been a busy time getting ready for the holidays.

This week's challenge over at JC&BC is from Kristin. This card was a challenge for me - I'm used to the image being a large focal point on the card, this design used a small image on a large card. I think my version turned out cute - I stuck to the basic design as much as possible.

My cardstock is Bazzil and I used Basic Grey pp. My edge punch was from SU as was the sentiment stamp. My stamp came from Susan's and she was colored in with copics. The pointsettias are Primas and I just used some little mini yellow flower brads from my stash in the centers. Christmas ribbon is also from my stash (picked up at a chain craft store). I used my CM circle cutter for the main circle and my nesties for the scallop circle.

Hope you enjoy this card! Would love to hear from you.

Mojo Monday

I finally accomplished a card to post - this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I added some embellishments to spice up my card a little - I have a hard time just leaving it plain. I used a stamp from Sugar Nellies and colored it in with copics. The PP is from Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses and the cardstock is Bazzil. I used my CM circle cutter for the circles and my SU corner rounder to round the edges on the card & sentiment. Added some Prima Flowers with some jingle bell brads for the middle (from Oriental Trading) and use 2 MS punches for the leaves & Greens. Hope you enjoy!

Black Friday

Happy Black Friday? So did you go out shopping today? If so, post here & let me know what you got for a great deal! I stayed home tucked cozily in bed and right now I just finished cleaning up from yesterday and have laundry going (fun, huh???)

My project(s) today are these cute winter laterns. I love these Febreeze lanterns and I have 2 of them. Each came with Halloween themed covers (the paper part) and since I now have up my Christmas decorations, they were out of date. The problem I discovered is that while they do have a cute winter cover with a snowman on it, they only way I can get that is by purchasing an entirely new lantern! And I really didn't need any more. So - I decided the heck with it and designed my own covers. The only problem is that they are not scented. There might be some way to get scented paper or spray it with something, but I cheated and just used a plug in with them (they are in my downstairs bathroom).

I used some Christmas paper, cut it at 3 1/2" x 12" & scored it at 3" sections. A 12 x 12 piece of paper will JUST fit around, so I just used a piece of clear tape on the corner to hold them together. I cut the snowflakes on my cricut with the new "When it's cold outside" cartridge (which is all snowflakes - I love it!) and then used a boarder punch on a piece of white paper, then cut it in a strip, and attached a piece of ribbon to the strip, and adhered to the top. I attached the snowflakes with pop-dots to make them stand out a little bit. I was very happy with how they turned out and they perfectly match my bathroom theme!

Hope you had a great Black Friday & be sure to share your deals with me!

Happy Thanksgiving

Good Morning,

The next few days are going to be rather busy with the holiday so I am posting my Thanksgiving post here today.

I wish you and your family the most blessed and enjoyable and safe Thanksgiving.

Here is the Thanksgiving card I sent out this year. The cardstock is from SU and the PP was something I found on clearance last year after Thanksgiving (I'm sorry I am not sure of the brand). I love the stamp set - its from CTMH. Unfortunately it is one that will be retiring this year. I colored the image in with copics. The inside of my card is also part of the same stamp set from CTMH and colored with copics. I used my nesties to cut out the circles and I inked the edges of the inside circle with SU ink.

On to bigger news, I'm SOOOOOO excited because I've been chosen for a DT! It's the first time I applied to be on one and cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am that I got chosen! I'm going to be working for Just Christmas and Birthday Cards (http://christmasandbirthdaycards.blogspot.com/)
I can't wait to get started working with the ladies there! Be sure to come over & check us and join in our weekly sketch contest!

Once again, have an amazing holiday! And enjoy your food, family & bargain shopping!!!!

Monday

Happy Monday to you! I've been in a slump and frustrated with my stuff lately. I'm not motivated to do much & I feel like everything I start either gets messed up or doesn't turn out the way I wanted! Hopefully I will snap out of it soon.

I used this weeks Just Christmas & Birthday Cards sketch for todays card. All the paper is from CTMH Aspen line (which is a favorite of mine). The stamp set is also CTMH - I have had it for about a year or so now, but never used it - I love it - but I always find myself stumped as to putting the snowman together. I think he came out cute, though I'm not sure he was really the image I should have used on this card (a little too late now though). I also used my Cuttlebug snowflake folder to emboss the background. The "buttons" are stickers from the Aspen line. No copics on this card for a change - just used different colored inks when I stamped. I hope you enjoyed how he turned out.

Have a great Monday!

Mojo Monday 112

Okay, it's Sunday and I'm posting from last week - I'm a little behind.

Here's my Mojo Monday from this past week - I needed to make a birthday card for a man - always a hard task - so I pulled out this awesome 4-wheeling set from CTMH. I used CTMH ink in Outdoor Denim and DCWV Latte paper. I used my Creative Memories circle cutter for the circles, and then the spikey circle was a nesties. Hope you enjoy!

Just Christmas & Birthday Cards Card

Good Morning! Today I put together my card for the Just Christmas and Birthday Cars blog (http://christmasandbirthdaycards.blogspot.com/)

I put my 3 embellishments on the side of the card rather than the bottom (because my snowman was so tall), but other than that, I stuck to the layout posted. I was pretty happy with how this turned out - I think he's cute!

So it's a Sugar Nellies stamp (which you have seen before in different colors on my blog) and I colored him with copics. Cardstock is Bazzil and pp is Basic Gray. I used my MS snowflake punch & a few skittles in the middle of my snowflakes. My favorite part is the inked edges - I think this really made the card. I used my CTMH Juniper ink again (fast becoming my current favorite) and sponge to get the soft look.

Hope you enjoy!

Design Team Try-Out

Hiya! Well, this is my first attempt to join a design team - I am so excited!!! I've always wanted to be on one, so I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed. If you haven't yet checked out this blog - you really should - it's great! It's called Just Christmas and Birthday Cards at:

http://christmasandbirthdaycards.blogspot.com/

The concept of the blog is to post a challenge, which not only enters you in a chance to win a prize, but also helps build your stash of birthday & Christmas cards (which we never have enough of!)

So this post is my entry with what I feel is two of my best projects that I've done (and area couple of my favorites).

Well, wish me luck!!! :)

Double Challenge Card

Happy Monday! I'm bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning - how about you?

My card for today met two challenges - the Copic Creations blog (current challenge is to color red hair - my first try, so be kind), and the Cupcake Craft Challenge (which was ***Snow Much Fun***). (My layout was taken from last week's Christmas and Birthday Cards Website).

You can see the blogs here:
http://copiccreations.wordpress.com/
http://www.cupcakecraftchallenges.blogspot.com/
http://christmasandbirthdaycards.blogspot.com/

I used a cute Sugar Nellies stamp and colored her with copics. The cardstock is just from my stash (no idea what brand), and my pp is Basic Gray. I colored my image with copics and used diamond stickles for her coat fluff. I used CTMH Juniper ink and a CTMH stamp for the sentiment. I also used a sponge and inked the edges of my white circle. Just some ribbon from my stash for the sentiment as well.

I hope whatever you do today - you make it a great Monday!

Cute Card Thursday - Primary Colors

Happy Thursday! Thank goodness this week is almost over - finally! I don't know about you, but it's felt like a very long week.

On to my card for today....I created this card for the Cute Card Thursday blog: http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/

The challenge was to use primary colors. When I dug into my stash I found this cute polka dot paper which had primary colors - it immediately made me think of a more masculine card (which are always hard to do), so I went digging through my stamps and pulled out this little farmer. I colored him with copics and used my gold spica pen for the buttons and hooks on his overalls. I used my Creative memories circle cutter to cut out my circles, and the sentiment stamp is from CTMH. I thought he was a perfect birthday card for a boy and I don't have many in my card stash, so it worked out perfectly for me.

I do have to let you know that I am now selling CTMH. There's a big special going on this month too - buy 2 stamp sets, get one (equal or lesser value) free!!!! This is an amazing offer that doesn't come around often, so if you're interested, please contact me. There's also a lot of things retiring right now, in prep for the new catalogs coming out soon, so don't miss you chance to get some of your favorites before they are no longer available.

Hope you have a great Thursday and stay warm!

Mojo Monday Christmas Card

Happy Wednesday! I haven't posted in a while and I've been itching to put something together for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch. I came up with this cute Christmas card - I just love this stamp. It's a new one (for me) from Sugar Nellies. I colored the cuties with copics and I used stickels on the puffy parts of his hat & the trim on her skirt - as well as for the holly berries. I added some 3-d snow with an applique pen. I hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it :)

Mojo Monday & Copic Chart

I haven't posted for a few days, but I've been working on some things - I even got several scrapbook pages done (but I'm not posting those today). One of my big projects was to re-do my copic chart. My old chart was getting very messed up (stains on it, curled up,etc) and did not have room for my spicas and the new colors (out of order on there). So I sat down and plowed away with Excel and came up with a new chart that has the new copics in it and even room for my spicas. I was very happy with how it turned out.

My other picture for today is from this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I really liked this layout. These papers are also some of my favorites - I think they are Basic Gray (Bohemia line). I've held on to them for a long time - I know I used them one other time for a scrabook layout & I used them for another layout the other day - and the scraps that are left I am using on cards - it's such pretty paper and some of my favorite colors, I plan to use up as much of it as possible. I am pretty sure the brown cardstock I used is either Bazzil or DCWV. My stamp set is from CTMH - it's one I bought a while ago, but haven't had a chance to use yet. Of course I colored the images with copics, and the ribbon is just from my stash (I love sheer ribbon and can't get enough of it).

Have a great Hump Day!

Mojo Monday Sketch

Good Morning! Happy Thursday! I don't know about you but I'm glad the week is coming to an end.

On to today's card - I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch. Since I had a larger stamp, I made my card a 5x5 square. I love this stamp - she's from Sugar Nellies and I colored her in with copics and used yellow stickles on the stars on her dress & hat. Halloween PP and my gooey punch rounds her out.

Hope you have a great day!

Let it Snow!

We have not had any snow here yet this year (which is a good thing so far!) but I loved this cute snowman stamp and couldn't wait to use him. He is a Sugar Nellie Stamp from Funky Kits - http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/

I colored him with copics and used a gold spica pen for his hat buckle and silver for the gift bow (hard to see because its so small). All my cardstock is from Bazzil and my pp is DCWV Christmas Glitter Stack (from last year). I used a CTMH stamp for the sentiment and my MS snowflake punch for the snowflakes. I added diamond stickles to the snowflakes to help them pop out a bit and give them that glitter that snow seems to have.

Well, let me know what you think of my snowman :) Have a great day - and hopefully it won't snow (its just too early).

Another take on Santa

I wanted to play with my colors & do a slightly more non-traditional color card. I used my Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper for inspiration. I colored my santa stamp with copics, and used stickles on his "fur" and for the wreath berries. All my cardstock is from SU, and I used a CTMH glitter brad. The flowers are all primas, and the ribbon was also CTMH. In with the flowers, I used a snowflake punch from MS, which I got on sale last year. And of course, my MS branch punch for the greens around the primas. Hope you enjoye! I got some new stamps over teh weekend, so I'll have a few new things to post this week (if I can keep up!)

Have a great Monday!

Santa Card

Well, I inked up my new Sarah Kay Santa stamp and put my own little spin on it today. I used my new CTMH Jingle paper - love this line - it's so gorgeous! I colored him in with copics, then used a silver spica for his belt buckle & buttons. For his fur, I broke out my sparkly fluff and used ruby stickles for the berries in the wreath. I posted a close up so you can see the details a little more. The flower is from Petaloo and I used my MS branch punch for the greens. Enjoy!

Winter Wonderland

So I started out wanting to use some of my new CTMH stamps and the Mojo Monday sketch for this week. As I progressed I realized my stamp was too large to add the extra strip & "star" embellishment so I just left it pretty simple. I used all CTMH products & thought this came out pretty (and simple). Following products used: Aspen Paper, Snow Flurries stamp set, Silver Pearl embossing powder, and Outdoor Denim ink.

Copic Class & Christmas Card

Happy Columbus Day!

I took a Copic Class yesterday and we made the two Christmas cards shown together above - the santa and the angel. I love the santa (and I posted a close up so you can see the stickles we used) and was thrilled we used this stamp because I just bought it on Friday (both stamps are Sarah Kay).

My other card uses my favorite Christmas Willow stamp again - but this time I used new colors and Basic Grey Wassail paper. She's colored with copics and the flowers are Primas.

Well, I've got to keep this short today - lots to do & little time.

Have a great one!

General Card

Happy Sunday! I'm pretty pleased with the way this card turned out. I was itching to use the new boarder punch I purchased at a (somewhat) local craft store. I loved the swirls on the punch and I wanted to somehow use it with white paper to give it a feminine feel. I realized the punch ended up on green paper, but it is off-set by the white, so that's pretty close for me. I choose green as my main color thinking it might work for a holiday card, but then I realized my stamp looks more summery (she's wearing a tank top!) so I left it as a general card - I can put any type of sentiment I'd like on the bottom, so I could make it a Thank You - a Hello - or whatever I choose when I need it. I couldn't tell you what type of cardstock I used - it was just pulled out of my stash. The pattern paper is from SU (one of my favorites), and I colored her in with copics. The punch is from Fiskars, and I'm not sure about the ribbon - again just pulled a piece from my drawer stash. I used an older Verve layout for inspiration, though I did not follow it exactly (I tend to alter them to suit me).

Well I hope you had a great weekend!

Monochromatic

I decided to use one of my stamps that I had not yet broke out of the package. I bought this Tilda from Michelle's (www.michellesscrap.com) and had not yet used her. I re-used the Mojo Monday sketch from this week - I really liked it, and since the last one I changed around a bit, I decided to exactly follow the layout today. Since there were so many options, I used my paper for inspiration. This is some older Stampin Up paper I had on hand. It all coordinates, so I decided to go for a more monochromatic look set off by the black. I was trying to achieve a more elegant look. I left the card blank so any type of a sentiment could be used inside.

Using up leftovers

I don't have much time today, so I'm posting a card I made a while ago - it used up some leftover pattern paper (from CTMH) and a flower (not sure where it came from) which was a straggler around. I love this stamp (from Susanas) and it is just such a sweet theme. The sentiment is CTMH as well. I inked the edges of the paper and used nesties to cut the tag shapes. She was colored with copics as usual and I used my MS branch punch for the greenery. Enjoy!

Mojo Monday Card

I used this week's Mojo Monday layout for my card today. This is one of my all-time favorite stamps - I just think this Willow stamp is so pretty! I used copics to color her, and all my paper is from CTMH. The snowflake brads are from Oriental Trading (I've had them forever) and the flowers are primas.

Enjoy your day!

Baby Tag

This morning I put together a "Baby" tag to attach with a ribbon. I was really thrilled with that outcome as well. I used a House Mouse stamp that I've had for a while, and colored it in with copics. When it was done I coated the image with versamark and used some ranger clear glitter embossing powder on it. A hit from my heat gun and voila! The paper I used is CTMH and it's from the Sweet Pea line. Hope you enjoyed todays post! Happy Monday!

Follow Your Heart Challenge

Todays card was made for the challenge over at Follow Your Heart blog

http://heartsandhugz.blogspot.com/

I was really happy with the way this card turned out - and it was the first time I got to use my Liquid Applique Pen for snow (just got it recently).

For this card I used a stamp called Rian by Elizabeth Bell from Susana's site (link on sidebar). It had some flowers around the tree stump she is sitting on, but I cut those off to make it have a more wintery feel. I also bought the pattern paper from the same site, it's from the Basic Gray Eskimo Kisses Line (I had a hard time picking one because all the papers in that line are just gorgeous!) All my cardstock came from Stampin Up as did the sentiment stamp. I used a Stampin Up roller stamp for the background on the lighter green paper with Brilliance Ink (hard to tell in the picture but it does have a slight sheen to it). Various flowers (most are mulberry, but the large burgandy one I got from someone else, so I'm not sure what it is)on the card as well. The inside of the card used the negative from my pattern paper, and the Peace On Earth sentiment is from CTMH. All the branches are from my Martha Stewart Branch Punch (which I love) and I used a SU circle punch for the holly berries.

Copic markers I used to color Rian:

Blues: B29, 26 and 23
Reds: R59, 46, 43
Grey: N2, 3
Brown: E49, 47, 44, 43
Skin Tones: R12, E31, 30
Hair Tones: E34, Y35, Y32
White: Inkssentials Pen in Opaque White
Spica - Olive for the flowers on her jacket

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it!

Have a great Sunday!

Another Halloween Card

I just finished up this card and I couldn't wait to post it. I think it came out pretty cute - I'm not sure I'm thrilled with my ribbon choice, but I didn't have the ribbon I really wanted (I would have put a sheer black thin ribbon on there) but it will work.

I colored the image from Pink Cat Studios (bought it at Susana's) with copics. Again, used some spicas to add a little glitter (on her hat band), and my K & Co. Halloween papers.

I used the Mojo Monday sketch for this week to create this card - hope you enjoy!

Catching Up

Today for my card - this is a non-traditional color halloween card. I was really happy with the way it turned out. The stamp is from pink Cat Studio, and the sketch was a Mojo Monday layout. I colored her with my copics, and used my spica glitter pens on her hat to add a bit of sparkle. My bow-easy helped a lot with the double bow on this card - I love sheer ribbon and i love how the double-bow turned out. If you don't have a bow-easy you need to get one (at Susanas - see my sidebar for the link). They are only $5 and make it so much easier to tie perfect bows.

Whatever you do - enjoy your weekend!

TGIF!

Happy Friday!

For today, this is a card I made - I used the current Mojo Monday sketch - the diamond shape around the image just reminded me of a baseball diamond, so I thought it was perfect for this. Kept it pretty simple overall. Since Baseball is totally "All-American" I had to use red, white & blue. The papers I used are from CTMH as is the stamp (I just LOVE CTMH - you will see me use quite a bit of their stuff).

Keeping it short today - hope you enjoyed!

Scary Scary!

Today is Thursday....Today is Thursday.....

For today's card, I used a new stamp set I got at Susana's from Pink Cat Studio. They're just so cute popping out of this pumpkin with all their candy! As usual, the image was colored with copics and mounted on orange cs from SU, then I used popped dots to raise the circle up. It was a little plain, so I added the black sparkly ribbon which I attached with a staple. If you haven't tried the stapler from CTMH yet, you are missing out - I LOVE that stapler!

Have a great day!

Basic Gray Paper

Happy Wednesday!

My card for today - I just splurged on some really pretty Basic Gray paper at Susana's (see sidebar for the link to her store). My favorite color is turquoise, so as soon as I opened up the pad of Two Scoops, I immediately knew I had to use it. I'd actually purchased this stamp a while ago and had it already colored and everything - when I saw the paper, I knew it was perfect for this image - the colors even were already matched up! I simply cut her out & used pop dots to attach her to my card. I think this would be a really great "Thinking of You" or "Sympathy" card. I didn't put a sentiment on it but something could always be added (either on the front or the inside). I was really happy with the way it turned out.

I've got a few other goodies up my sleeve that I bought, so keep your eyes open this week for a few more new, fun products I get to use and will post about.

Have a great Wednesday!

Tuesday

How are you on this chilly morning? I have a beautiful fall stamp for you to enjoy - I just fell in love with this stamp and had to have it. I colored it with copics and layered it on top of my favorite CTMH paper. The flowers are from Prima Christmas flowers. I inked all my paper edges with SU Close to Cocoa. I'm not sure about the brads - they are just a small brass-looking brad (I think they came from a kit in the past). Kept it pretty simple so as not to interfere with the beautiful image.

Hope you enjoy and have a great Tuesday!

Monday, September 21, 2009

Good Morning! I'm sure everyone hates Mondays - me included.

I've got a cute stamp that I got at Susanna's (link is on my sidebar) and is an Elizabeth Bell stamp. I'm wishing I had a smaller flower to put on this card, though - you loose the scalloped papers behind the image & flowers, because the flower is so big. As usual, I colored the image with my copics, and I used SU ink to stamp the edges - and the pink is SU cardstock - all my other papers are from CTMH.

I'll have a fun fall card for tomorrow, so stay tuned. TRY to make the best out of this Monday!

Oceans Of Love

Just a quick post today. I made this card 6 x 6 because the stamp set was large. The set & sentiments are from CC Designs (I got them at www.allthatscraps.com) and I just loved them when I saw them - they were the July featured set.

I colored in the mermaid and the fish and the rocks & such with copics. The background behind the rocks (the water & sand) I used chalks for - I wanted some color, but I wanted a soft look on it. It is hard to tell from the photo, but the mermaid's tail & bodice and the fish have diamond stickles, and I used liquid pearls in White Opal on her pearls.

The pp and the sand dollar trim is from a K&Company line called Sea Glass. I just love that line - I did an entire scrapbook from our Myrtle Beach trip using it - so of course, I bought way too much & will be using the leftovers from it forever.

The mermaid is popped up with Pop-Dots from SU and I also used a SU punch to punch out around the sentiment. I was really happy with the way this one turned out & hope you enjoy it too!

Keeping it short today for the weekend - have a great Sunday!

Time for some Chicken

Well, in case you haven't figured it out by the name of my blog - I love chickens. I just think the entire idea of them is funny. And yes, I have a bit of a strange humor. But I do collect chickens and I try to pick up any stamps that I find that I like that have chickens on them as well. So in honor of my blog name today, I have created a chicken card.

So the stamp is called "Is this your egg?" and honestly, I can't remember which store I bought it from - maybe now I need to start writing these things down? I didn't follow a card sketch for this - just came up with something on my own. The fence is actually a second stamp, which was a difficult one to color (used my copics of course) because the blades of grass are so thin I kept going out the lines - I think I managed to salvage it ok, though. There was no way to trim around all the grass, so I kept the bottom of the paper squared off. The cardstock I used is all from Stampin Up and the pp is from Me & My Big Ideas mat pad, which I'd found on clearance last year at M's. For the inside of the card I knew I wanted to use my chicken-wire background stamp and I used a couple other chicken stamps. I got them a couple years ago at one of the scrapbooking shows I'd gone to. They are from Purple Daisy Designs. The sentiment on front is from Inky Antics. The Edwin and fence are Magnolia stamps.

Well, I am off - Have a great weekend!

Are you tired of Halloween yet?

I'm going to try to switch to some more fall themed cards tomorrow - I'm sure Halloween is getting old already. I just need to start working on my Halloween cards since the time is starting to approach. I need to really work on my basic "stock" of cards, too - I would like to have a bunch of Thank you - anniversary, birthday, etc. on hand, so I can just pull a card out of stock when I need one. Usually by the time I realize there is an event, I just don't have the free time to sit down and create a new card.

On to my card today - I picked up some new stamps at Joanns yesterday (it was my birthday & went there to spend some of my birthday money - unfortunately all I bought was a set of halloween stamps and a scrapbook). So these stamps are by Heidi Grace - I thought they were cute. There are some other images with the set I didn't use yet - but I'm sure I will, so I'm not posting them all just yet! I used my basic memento black ink and got the card layout inspiration from Unscripted Sketches (see my sidebar for the link). I used my Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch on the bottom with green glitter paper for the "goo". It's so creepy!!! I kept the inside pretty basic - I was trying to use up an odd-sized piece of orange CS and I used a corner punch on the top, and stamped with the spiderweb & small spider stamp from my set to decorate it. I couldn't resist the jeepers creepers saying - esp. since spiders are just plain creepy (we get these giant daddy longlegs spiders here that are just creepy, so it reminded me of that).

Well, I hope you enjoy your Friday & thanks for reading!

Halloween & Injuries

Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday while scrapbooking I had an injury - and today it has my finger throbbing in pain. It's amazing how bad you can hurt yourself when you are not paying attention. I have a tv in my scrapbook room and something on the tv distracted me. When I looked up I was trying to punch a brad through paper and it stabbed me in the thumb, going right under my nail. Yes - ouch! It was bleeding and has left me with a rather sore thumb!

For my work today, I'm still working on Halloween cards. I am on the lookout for some new halloween stamps today also. As I mentioned before I only have the one set of House Mouse, which are cute, but I'd like to have some of a variety as well and since this is the 2nd year in a row I've made Halloween cards, it will be worth the investment (generally I try not to invest too much in seasonal stamps that I can't use year-round).

So another house-mouse card today. I kept the inside pretty simple - just used my SU ticket corner punch on the pattern paper. All my halloween PP is from K & Company Halloween stack - I love it! They have really cute paper & the backside of all the papers have coordinating patterns as well - it doesn't get any better than that! Most of my cardstock is from SU (and if it's not SU, I couldn't tell you what it is - I have a variety). As usual, I colored my stamp with copics, and I used my cuttlebug with swiss dots folder to emboss the orange rectangles on the front. Once again it was a Mojo Monday sketch (from the previous week).

Hope you have a great day!
