Just a Birthday Card

Happy Monday! Today is a new challenge over at Just Christmas and Birthday Cards - the link is over to the left <---- so be sure to click it & join in!

I used this week's sketch to make this elegant birthday card. I really wanted to do something special so I pulled out my La Creme paper pack from DCWV. The floral paper is flocked so the flowers feel like velvet. I think it really gives it that extra touch!

I colored Tilda with copics using colors to match the papers. I wanted a "champagne" color look to her dress - which I was very happy with the end result. My CS is Bazzil and the sentiment is Inkadinkadoo (from a set). The black satin ribbon is from my stash.

Hope you enjoyed todays card! Be sure & let me know what you think.

Pirate Mailbox

Another mailbox for a family member. More K&Co (last years) Valentine's paper. I used the Paper Dolls cartridge for Cricut to cut all the images. I have some really cute sizzex rub ons for the faces. Ribbons on the side of the lids from my stash, as is the sheer ribbon on the mailbox. Again, I used my SU scallop square for the flag, and the apron edge punch from fiskars. Hope you enjoy!

Dragon Mail Box

My last mailbox for now. This one was done using the Indie Art cartridge with this neat dragon! This is for a "teen" family member. The same K&Co Valentine's paper (from last year) and carstock from my stash. I used the apron edge punch from fiskars and all the ribbon (along the lid edges and the flag) are from my stash. The flag was punched using a SU scallop square punch. Hope you enjoy it!

Hello Kitty Mailbox

Today's mailbox is for a friend. I thought these Hello Kitty(s) were cute and Valentine-y, so I used them. PP is the same K&Co from last year. Ribbon along the edges is from last years Taget $1 spot as is the white mailbox. Various cardstock from my stash and sheer ribbons on the flag stem. Used my SU scallop square for the flag too. Let me know what you think!

Tinkerbell Mailbox

I created this for a family member who likes Tinkerbell. I was happy with the way it came out. I used one of the $1 spot mailboxes from Target (it was white). I used K&Co Valentine's pp (from last year) and various carstock from my stash. The ribbon along the edges of the front & back is also from the $1 spot at Target (last year). I used sheer ribbons & prima roses around the flag and a SU scallop square to punch the paper for the flag. I used my Tinkerbell cartridge for my cricut for all the paper piecings. Stayed tuned for more mailboxes to come!
