Sketch Saturday #87

Hi again! I managed to get several challenge cards done this week. Today's card is from this past weekend's Sketch Saturday. I liked this sketch a lot - it gave me a lot to play with. Pretty much everything I used on this card was taken out of stash - all the papers were already things I'd used and had a piece left of - so I can't really even tell you where they are from (sorry). I was glad to use up some stuff, though. The stamp was a freebie I got from somewhere, so even that I don't know what it is. I colored the bunny with copics and used a little diamond glaze for the eyes. I used an MS punch for the scallop and the sentiment is CTMH. Enjoy!

MMSC#38

Todays card I made for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #38. I liked this sketch a lot & had a hard time choosing a stamp to use to base this on. I'm happy with the results. Colored my image with copics. PP is Basic Grey and Cardstock is SU. I inked the edges of the inside circle and used Primas and pearls for the flowers/jewels. Hope you enjoy!

Mojo Monday 123

Sorry I haven't posted in a while - life gets in the way a lot!

Today is this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I really liked this challenge because you had the choice of doing a round or a square card. I have not done a round card like this before, so I thought it would be fun.

My pp is DCWV sweet stack (the blue on the left side with the cupcakes). Cardstock is CTMH and I used a cute stamp set I got from AC Moore. Colored the cupcake in with copics, stickled the frosting, and covered it in a layer of Diamond Glaze (I was only planning to put glaze on the cherry, but the bottle had other ideas). The edges of the white cardstock was also inked in light blue (it's hard to see from this picture). I cut all the circles & scallop circles out with my nesties. The ribbon & brad were just from my stash.

Hope you enjoy today's card!

Printed Image

Hi there! I promised a cute card for today & I sure hope this delivers. I was really happy with it minus one thing - this is a printed image - and I did have some smearing from the black ink into my image (esp on her face), so I was not totally thrilled with that, but I love this Tilda so much - I just had to use her!

I used a sketch from the Midnight Madness Challenge 36 - which ended on 1/18 - so it doesn't qualify for the challenge, but I really liked the sketch. You can see it here:

http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/2010/01/midnight-madness-sketch-challenge-36.html

I used the typical K&Co Valentine Stack pp from last year & cardstock from my stash. Tilda was colored in with copics, and I used my heart nesties to cut the hearts she is sitting on. The sentiment is actually a $1 stamp I found at Michael's recently - I think it's a cute one! And the price can't be beat!

Hope you enjoyed the card!

Mojo Monday 121 Jan 18th Challenge

Hi there - how's it going? I managed to get a couple of cards done this week, although I've had a bunch going on.

Today's card is for the current Mojo Monday Challenge. I liked this sketch a lot & found it really versatile. As you can see, I changed it around a bit to suit my card, but I was happy with the way it turned out.

I turned my sketch sideways and used a rectangle instead of an oval. I colored my image with copics and used a hint of spica on the accent on her jeans. Paper is K&Co Valentine's stack from last year. Cardstock is just from the stash. Prima Flowers & CTMH sentiment. I used a pale pink ink & sponge to edge the outside of my image.

Hope you enjoy today's card - come back tomorrow for another Valentine's Day card! I promise you won't be disappointed!

JCBC Challenge

Happy Monday! Todays card is used with a sketch that I created for the DT over at JCBC. I hope you like it! I decided to use it to make a birthday card. The paper is DCWV and I used copics to color my image. The ribbon is sheer ribbon from my stash & the sentiment is CTMH. A little stickles for bling - and I love it! Hope you do too! Be sure to check out the JCBC challenge & join in (click the top left corner of my blog) and - Have a great Monday.

Just a little bling!

Hoppy Monday! I pulled out this cute Happy Hoppers stamp (from House Mouse) and decided to use it finally (had it forever & never used it). This brought out a little bling today.

All my cardstock is from SU and the pp is DCWV Blossoms & Butterflies. I just thought it went well considering the image. The sentiment is CTHM. I used my MS apron lace punch for the scallops and ended up using stickles on the bunnies wings & the flower. I started with a spica pen, but it just needed a little more to keep up with the paper.

I'm happy with how it turned out - it reminds me of spring (which is a nice thing to think about right now in the middle of this COLD weather!) Hope you have a great Monday!

Sketch Saturday 01/09/10

Happy Saturday! It's a quiet day at home & I decided to participate in this weeks Sketch Saturday (http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/).

I used a 5x5" piece of CTMH cardstock. Other cardstock is SU and Bazzill and my PP is K&Co. I used a Whiff of Joy image from Susana's store and colored her in with copics. Used a MS scallop punch with hearts for the inside boarder, and I used a CTMH sentiment with Tulip ink. I also used my tulip ink and sponged around the image rectangle. The flowers are Mulberry and I used some raindot hearts for the red hearts.

Hope you enjoyed today's card as much as I enjoyed making it!

TGIF! I don't know about you, but I'm glad it's Friday! We've had a dusting of snow here - enough to delay school for 2 hours. So I had plenty of time to put together a card for today.

I used another older Mojo Monday sketch but I altered it a bit to fit my card. I colored my image with copics & spicas for the sparkle (wings, hearts, jewelry). I used my heart nesties for the big hearts and embossed them with my cuttlebug. I used a MS punch for the scallop punch. Paper is Basic Grey Two Scoops line. The sentiment stamp is CTMH. I wanted to do another Valentine's card, but was tired of JUST pink & red, so I think this fit the bill perfect. I was happy with the result - I hope you enjoyed it too!

Thursdays Card

Hello there! I'm very close to reaching my goal of posting a new card each day this week - I've been putting a lot of work in & actually getting it done. I guess making it a true goal does help.

For today's card I followed an old Mojo Monday sketch (that I had not used yet)and am using this for this weeks Cute Card Thursday. The challenge was to use something new - for me, the punches I used for my tag are new (I had not yet used them yet).

I colored my image with copics and used a spica pen for her wings, hearts & dots on her shirt to add a little shimmer. Cardstock is from my stash, and pp is K & Co from last years Valentine's release (I still have a lot of it left). I used ribbon from last year also, which I got at the Target Dollar section. The stamp is CTMH as is the ink. It's one of my favorite colors - it's called tulip - it's very close to red, but more a very dark pink. I used the color on my sentiment as well as used it with a sponge around my image for the soft look.

Hope you enjoyed today's card & would love to hear your thoughts on it!

Cute Card Thursday

Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

I used a sketch over at Cute Card Thursday for my card today. I colored the image with copics and used all paper from my stash today. The sentiment is from CTMH. Just kept it simple, but think it's cute. I've used this stamp before, but it's really versatile how you can suit it to any occasion by changing the colors.

Hope you enjoy!

Midnight Madness

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday! I'm going to do my best to post a card every day this week. I can't guarantee it, but I'm going to try! I'm working on Valentine's Day cards now, so that is primarily what you will be seeing this week.

Today I used a sketch from the Midnight Madness challenge. There were a lot more paper layers on the sketch than what I used, but my image was too large to create more layers. I'm still happy with the way it turned out.

I colored the image with copics. I used the clear spica on her wings & the polka dots on her belt & headband (hard to see in the photo, but it gives it a pretty sparkle). I've used this image before & made it very soft and pale colors - it was fun trying it out using much more bold and bright colors. I was really happy with the way it turned out - especially her hair.

Cardstock is from the stash (various kinds) and the PP is Basic Grey (you will notice it's the same from yesterday). Ribbon is from my stash and a Prima flower on the front. I didn't use a sentiment on this card but I'm sure I will put something on the inside of the card.

Hope you enjoy today's creation.

Mojo Monday 120

This card was a true labor of love! I got this stamp today and of course could not wait to use it. I decided it would work great with the Mojo Monday sketch for this week. I'm also using it for a new challenge blog called Stampin' Royalty. I'm loving how it turned out (and it's going to a family member for a birthday). I used a boatload of copics on this and it took me a good hour at least just to color the image. The paper is Basic Grey, and cardstock is just from the stash. Used a Fiskar boarder punch and Basic Grey swirl/bling thing in the corner. Hope you enjoy it!

Used the following copic colors:
Reds(R): 89, 59, 39, 37, 35, 32, 12
Yellows (YR): 23, 21
Greens (G): 29, 28, 24, 21, 20
Violets (V): 17, 15, 12, 09
Blues (B): 39, 37, 34, 32
Grays (C): C3, C1

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! I'm hoping to get more crafting done now that the holidays are over, school has returned, and things are settling down a bit! Which means - I will be posting more, too.

For today, I am posting my DT card for this weeks Just Christmas and Birthday Cards challenge. The great sketch this week was done by Georgia and this is my take on it (a Christmas card).

Pretty much everything I used was from my stash - including the stamped & colored image. It was an image I stamped from a friend & had even already colored, but never used for anything. It was perfect for this card. She was colored using copics, and the PP and carstock was just from my stash of pre-cut pieces (extras from other cards & projects). The ribbon was also from my stash of ribbons (unless it's a specific SU or CTMH ribbon, I couldn't tell you where I got it from). The snowflakes are a MS punch and the skittles I got from a trade I did a long time ago.

Hope you enjoy & have a great day!
